Our chimney cleaning takes out the filters, degreases the hood and cleans the fan area to restore suction. Regular chimney cleaning keeps your kitchen walls cleaner and reduces the risk of oil dripping onto the stove.
What is included
Every chimney cleaning visit covers the following.
- Removal and soaking of baffle or mesh filters
- Degreasing of filters with a hot-water method
- Hood inside and outside cleaned
- Fan blades and motor housing wiped (where accessible)
- Oil collector cup emptied and cleaned
- Control panel and outer body polished
- Function check after refitting

How we do it

Switch off
Power is switched off and the stove area is covered.

Remove filters
Filters are removed and soaked in a degreasing solution.

Clean the hood
The inside of the hood and the fan area are degreased.

Refit and test
Filters are dried, refitted and the chimney is tested on all speeds.
Before we arrive
- Avoid cooking for an hour before the visit so the chimney is cool.
- Clear the hob and the area around it.
- Keep a nearby power point and sink available.

How often should a chimney be cleaned?
Every three to four months for daily cooking. Kitchens with a lot of frying may need it every two months.
Do you clean filterless chimneys?
Yes. We clean the oil collector, inner panels and accessible fan parts.
Can you repair my chimney?
No. We clean chimneys only. If we notice a fault, we will tell you so you can contact the brand's service centre.
Will the suction improve after cleaning?
In most cases, yes. Weak suction is usually caused by blocked filters.
Can you clean the duct pipe?
We clean the part of the duct that can be reached safely. Long concealed ducts are not opened.
Can I book chimney and kitchen cleaning together?
Yes. Booking both on the same day is a common choice.
Is the stove covered during cleaning?
Yes. The hob is covered to catch drips while we work.
